[Sniffer]

Hi there,

please can anybody tell me how to get the nitro engine of my car set up to
how it was when it left the factory/ I have attempted to tune the car and it
all when it a bit horribly wrong! The mid range screw came out and I didn't
notice and the low end screw went right in. Now I have no idea how to get it
all set up again as at the moment it wont even start. Any help greatly
appreciated.

Yes the manual does have the settings but it says 3 1/4 turns from
closed for the Mid range and 3 1/2 turns from closed for the low end.
But what is closed? I dont think that this means from tightened like a
tap as the low end was further out than that as it took many turns to
close (i.e. show resistance). When I moved the mid range to 3 1/4 from
tightened and the low end 3 1/2 turns the throttle would not open. This
is why I question what is meant by closed and how can I tell?

Yes it did. Mid range 3 1/4 turns from closed and low end 3 1/2 turns
from closed, but what is closed? I assume that this does not mean shut
like a tap until you feel resistance as it took many turns to close
the low end needle. Also when I closed both until i felt a small
amount of resistance and then opened them this number of turns the
actual throttle would not open. Hence my confusion of what is meant by
closed.

Closed means turn the mixture screw all the way in clockwise. Be careful because
you can damage the mixture screw tip. Screw it slowly until you feel some
restriction. Don't make it tight. then counter clockwise until you reach the
desired setting 3 and a half turns counter clockwise should do it. BTW both
lo-end and hi-end mixture screws are the same deal

Hi thanks for your response. I have done this closing the mid range
first then closing the low end and then opening the required number of
turns mid range then low end and the throttle does not open as both
needles appear to go into each other. Is there a specific way I should
do it? i.e. mid range first (close then open) with the throttle open,
then the low end for example? Should the throttle be open or closed?
