Hi folks, can someone tell me the type of connector in the pic ? The connector on the left is a Tamiya female connector for comparison. Thanks !

Hi, Rajul
No pb ...this connector is currently called " AMP " OR " AL " and often used for limited current applications such batt or ESC connectors
I easily get mine from my retailer ... and Graupner, Robbe ...etc all sell it.

I think casings can easily be interverted ( if an easier way for you ) between your two models ... a small brass tubing introduced just around the pins is very helpful here to unlock the contacts...

i strongly sugest upgradin these conectors, unless its super small curent, they melt, about the worst conector ive used yet
deans are ok,
red / balck one are beter,
usually a hobby shop stocks red / black ones, but there expensive , better off going seeing one at hobby shop and going to digikey and ordering 100 pieces for like 50 $
ive used red / black ones for 5 years with no failers from fatige, broke one , due to neglegance

I think what PIc man is talking about is called an "Anderson Power Pole" or "Sermos" connector. I would recemond changing for high curnets to either WD Deans or APP conectors. BTW Deans Utlra con. have less reistiance with solder joints than an equlivent piece of 12 guage wire.
