Hey guys !

(bare with my poor english!) :(

Ive bought a couple Micro RC Carīs for fun ! :)
(cheap Rx/Tx with room-range of stearing)

- the electronics for 'forward' is either on/off, meaning there is full speed or no speed.. soo I thought.. a simple(cheap, and for fun) idea

- couldnt it work in a linear way if you PWM-circuit that gated the 'forward-button' ? like in one of those car-transmitters with a 'steering'wheel on its side, thou mine would be a simple var-resistor ? :)

- Im new here so please dont kill me for bringing up stupid ideas

'cheers / Daniel.

...couldnt it work in a linear way if you PWM-circuit that gated the 'forward-button' Yes, that has been done. Because of the encoding, the PWM framerate is often limited to about 3Hz or so. You can emulate your idea just by rapidly pressing the forward button with your fingers.

But to tell you the truth, these toy RTF models are so slow and so underpowered, that reducing throttle power achieves little more than a grounded model. So be careful of what you wish for. :)
