Hi,
Really glad i found this website. For Christmas my ole lady bought me a Nexstar Select 46, and i bought just about every gadget i think there out there for it, even some stuff i have no idea what it does. I have even successfully flew the plane solo with no instruction last week(Still dont know how i pulled it off.)

Now i was wondering where the clubs are located in South Jersey, and if anyone here would be interested in teaching me how to really fly? Cant wait to get out there again, but this snow is stopping me.

Thank you

Also was wondering if someone could gimme some help... Seeing how i inadvertenly messed with the needle valve high and low on my Os .46 Fxi. when the plane is idle on the ground it tachs out at 3,000 rpms and slow down, studders then stalls make me think i need to lean out my low idle just a tad. Bear in mind the motor has only been ran like 7 times or so. and the manufacturer says i should use 33 clicks(on the needle valve) to get it in the right vicinity for max power or "floored" and the full power is just above 12,600, but when i floor it it does spudder to get to max power. It is still bleeding quite a bit of fuel on the plane making me think it is way to rich. In the air when i flew for the first time it ran great, dont think it spuddered at all and had alot of power but still bled quite a bit of fuel on the fueselage.

i read the post on motors and think i am starting to understand it, but as always would like someones direct advice on these particular issues.

You will likely need to join AMA in order to become a member of a flying club. You can go to their website at www.modelaircraft.org. They also have a section of the website that list AMA chartered clubs in your area. You can also ask at the hobby store where you got the plane & gear. They may have some club suggestions.

Steven,

Welcome to RCgroups! I'm all the way at the other end of the state (heck, the club I fly with is called Top O' New Jersey), so I'm not that familiar with the clubs in your area, but I have a friend in Salem whose family used to run a hobby shop in the distant past. He tells me there is a club field not too far from his house; I think it's the Salem County R/C club field. Click this link for a list of clubs near you: http://www.modelaircraft.org/ClubZipLocator.aspx?z=08070 Oh, and join the AMA if you haven't already; almost every club will require it.
