ok I fly a Great planes trainer .40 sized with an OS maxx .20 on it. I bought it used with everything took it to a local field and someone helped me out looking everything over ect. I had a training wing and an alieron wing. He suggested going with the alierons. I had sim time ect. and he took it up and it flew great, he handed me the controls and I flew it for about 5 mins and he wanted me to bring it down to see how the gas lev was ect. he asked me if I wanted him to land I told him no I think I'll try a few setups and see, landed on my 3rd pass with a little hop. Flew 2 more times take off and everything it was great. On number 4 right at take off it turned sharp to the right and made about 3 laps before hitting on wing and broke off the tail and rudder. Found out the aleiron servo arm had broke. I fixed it ect and it sat around due to it was a member only field and they let me fly there once to get me hooked but I was headed back home in a few days so I just stored it.

Well I'm back home on leave and I have a slow stick now that I fly all the time. I took my gaser out to my mom and dads out on the farm. took off from the road and trimmed it out ok then after about 2 laps as I turned it suddenly when strait up on its own. I corrected and a bit later it did it again! I noticed it did it when I was flying into the wind more than with it. I managed to cut to half thottle and started to get it down no time to setup for a landing. I got it down to about head high and it jerked up again stalled and floped down easy with no damg.

Ok so here is my thinking I only had my rubber bands from my slow stick with me and I used them I only had 6 of them, I think last time I flew I had like 12 to 16 on there. So I think what was happening was that the front of the wing was lifting and making it shoot up like that am I right? or did I just screw up something when I repaired the whole back end?

Thanks in advance.

Check the servo gears, sounds like the gears might have broke on the last crash. Just an idea but if there are teeth missing on the gears and conditions are right(like flying into the wind) it could cause the elevator to cuase the plane to go up or down. Also is it straight up or does it just climb alot going into the wind? Trainers do tend to climb going into the ind if the trims arent set right. Also could be the main wing too with not enough rubber bands. Check the servos once over again, the easy way is to hold the servo arm and then use the TX to move it. With just enough pressure to hold on to the arm, it should move if there are no busted gears. If there are gears broken you will be able to keep the arm from moving.
