Have a question on the thawk.
What is the center of gavity point from the LE.
The thawk comes with the 600mah batt. as stock. I got the upgrade to the 900mah. The 600 weighs in at 3.16oz and the 900 at 5.56oz. The stock setup is for the 600, so what about the center of gavity point for the 900mah ,would'nt it be different than the stock 600mah. Almost 2 1/2oz difference doesent this change things? I got one of the great planes CG machines and have a center of gravity point of 1 3/4inches from the LE if I am doing this right.
Since I'm new at this looking for your thoughts on this matter. I dont see how I would move any of the elec. componets to change the CG , so would I have to add weight? Dont want to, so what do you think?

Thanks
Don

If the battery CG is in the plane CG then changing it (without changing its CG location) wouldn't matter. My rule of thumb is that the CG of ANY plane is at the main wing spar - the thickest part of the wing. In your case I would measure the CG with the stock 600mAh battery pack (providing it flew right with it) and use this measurement for adjusting the CG at the same spot with the 900mAh battery pack.

Some (most???) of us fly both fuel and electric airplanes.
