Hi all,
I'm a radio control virgin, and I have a question - no surprises there then!
My question is this: going on the general principal that lighter is better, should I remove the heavy casing from my reciever?
Following on from there, what lightweight replacements can I use for the casing - I am going to throw the thing off a hill, and will at some point land 'a little hard'! I'm starting with a simple scratch-built foam delta so I can learn to crash with decorum :D

By all means remove the casing. Best replacement for the case is some shrink wrap (preferably two layers) to protect the electronics from shorting.

For crash protection, wrap the receiver in some lightweight foam or build a foam box for it in your fuselage. Even if you leave the case on, you should protect the receiver with foam.

Better check the e-mail I sent you before saying that.

PS - I'm a Brit living in Canada.
