I recently had what I thought was a Rx glitching problem. I replaced my GWS Rx with a Futaba but the glitching returned.
I did a bit of testing at the park and it seems like its the GWS ESC.
Sometimes when I tought the wires from the battery together - the motor starts & stops (or starts and grumbles along at low revs). And the throttle may or may not work.
I tried moving the ESC away from the RX (so next to the battery) - which it was right to. But that didnt seem to make a difference.
I've ruled out the motor as the problem - I get the burbling rpms and cut-outs on 2 motors. And both motors sound fine when connected directly to a small battery.
I ruled out the Tx by testing with another.
So the only thing thats left is the Rx (which is a hitec HFS-04MG) or the ESC.
I *think* I have a cold solder on one of the deans plug connections. Its duller than the other solder but has a little shine to it (coldish solder ? ) But then it also has a few flecks of black in it.
Could this be the problem ?
