I don't really know what else to describe this as, it's not RC but it's just plain cool. My grandfather built it for my mother while he was serving in the navy. It's made out of a number of sardine cans, a couple hairspray bottles, and a length of copper tubing. You set a candle in the centre round part and right above the candle there is the copper tubing that has been coiled. This copper tubing has both ends exiting through the bottom of the hull and both face backwards trimmed at an equal length. It takes a couple minutes to warm up and I'm not totally sure how it works...but it's damn cool.....if you want a short video email me at: aberham82 at hotmail dot com

You have yourself an heirloom there.
They are known as "putt putt steam boats".
These days you can find simple models like this in toy and hobby stores.

But none of them are made of sardine cans, or by loving grandparents.

he must of worked in the boiler room and new what he was doing to build it. And yes it is priceless.
