You may try making an adapter to hook up XTR interface to your GWS TX (GWS sends PPM signal to the middle ring of the stereo plug and the base of the plug is ground), but it may still not work as XTR interface seems to be pretty picky about the signal poperties.
I recently tried connecting my JR to their Futaba interface (which, BTW, doesn't work with some Hitec transmitters) using a suitable adapter--XTR couldn't detect my transmitter.
