I've been looking for a VTOL for a while, and decided to just post a thread to find plans or kits. Here's what I'd like:

Cheap construction
Brushed motors
No Gyros
Also, I want an aircraft that can transition to horizontal flight, like an airplane.

Post away!

You cannot be serious.

Come on, it wouldn't be too hard. I've already seen a micro V-22.

That hovers stabily without gyros? That transitions from vertical to horizontal flight?
If you´ve seen it then please tell me where. The reason that I´m sceptical is that it IS hard, but if someone´s allready done it, in a MICRO then please show me.

It would be very cool. But simple? Hardly! :)

The only thing that I can think of that is even close is this (http://www.ratsinc.net/id25.htm). It can't takoff vertically though. It just has a really short roll. Kinda pricy too.

This is kinda what I'm aiming for. A micro LPS powered V-22. I'm not sure if it has flown yet. http://rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=228235

Rocketman,

Here is something that might work if you are looking for VTOL aircraft. Ever hear of the FlapJack?

Have you seen the VTO, Vertical Take Off?
Super cheap, made from BlueCor and flies great with a brushed motor.
