i am designing an a-10 that will have around a 5' span the wing rootcord is about 11" and the tip is about 7" (not sure on the spacifics off the top of my head) i know that to be scale the rootcord needs to be about 1" thick and at the tip it will need to be around 1/2" thick. are there any wing design programs that can help me design this wing? i would like it to be semi aerobatic. also for it to be scale it will have huge aliorons and have about a 2" dihederal.

Those numbers indicate a rather thin wing section. The 11 x 1 inch spec would result in a 9% thick section. Most aerobatic models run 12 or more % thick. You may want to fudge the section up to something a bit more in that range even if it's only for basic jet style maneuvers.

Stay with a symetrical airfoil. It's all you need unless you're planning on some power off soaring... :D Or if you use one that is close to symetrical but with a flat lower rear section so it's easier to jig up and build that'll be close enough.

If it's powered by electrics where efficiency counts then you may wish to go with a brand name airfoil. But if it's gas then it's not that critical. Find an airfoil that's close to what you want and copy it with the lower rear area mod and it'll fly fine.

If you don't already have it Profili2 from www.profili2.com is a great program with the basic features for free and the fancy analysis stuff unlockable for a small price.

The A-10 has a big, fat straight wing.
15% wouldn't be too thick for a scalish look, and wouldn't hurt the aerobatics.

Found a 3-view.. there is some taper..
Works out like this...
