On My Gemini, I have painted the light-side of the screens that go around the side lights green, a flat black. Is this how they should be?

they used to be white before I painted them.

I beleive CG Bob metioned this in another thread some where (can't remember wich one). The correct color is flat black to minimize the amount of glare one full size vessels. I am planning the same for mine when I get to that point... could be a while though.

thanks bob

as regards the dimensions, I am limited to what bulbs i can use, so have had to use sub minature bulbs as they are the smallest I can get

Thank you CG Bob for verifying... even though I did get the matt part wrong...
as for dimensions I have the same problem. The back boards ar slightly smaller than the white metal included in the kit, but the lens portion is considerably larger.
P.S. your ship looks great!

Ghost, I have read most of your threads, and the pics that are included. I'll check out your gallery. As for a difference between matt and flat, not to much of one, matt gives a dull finish and a smooth one, while flat gives a dull finish and about a 2000 grit equivalent rough finish. Or at least thats what I can remember from my Testor's paints when I was doing plastic models...
