Raptor or Sceadu 50`s

Howdy all ,
I`m a newbie to the nitro choppers , been flying fixed pitched electric
ones for a while , now i want to take the step to collective petrol
choppers......

regarding the raptor & sceadu , both 50 size...
What have you found to be the better chopper ??
Will be running digital servos and a futaba 401 gyro...
i`m looking at 3D work as well.....

Just after opinions of what you know from your experiences.....

My recommendation would be the Raptor. I've nothing against the Sceadu, it's
a good heli but the Raptor is EVERYWHERE these days. Parts are dead easy to
find in most model shops and they are cheap, cheaper than the Hirobo
equivalents.

The R50 will take you all the way to the most agressive 3D you can imagine
but is also a very stable platform to begin with.

My opinion for what it's worth.

The very reason I got a Sceadu...

PS I didn't get a Camry or Taurus either.

The Raptor is easier to work on and like the guy said it is everywhere so
parts are readily available. Can not fathom using ease of parts
availability as a reason not to buy something...

thanks for the reply's....
Has anyone flown both of them ???
like differences in flying both the heli's , or are they pretty much the
same....
I know different setups will be different in flying but as for 3d work and
stability , that sort of thing....

Flew the Raptor 50 all last summer and throught to Christmas. Even if you
use the 3D setup for the linkages you end up with a VERY stable heli that's
smooth and "easy" to fly. It took me from my "stuck in a rut" flying around
to loops, rolls flips and tic tocs! The fear of a costly crash was not there
so progress was made in leaps and bounds!

Thouroughly recommended
