1.Stator:
Inner diameter 7mm and Outer diameter is 20.1mm.
The thickness of silicon steel lamination is 9.92mm.
Such specification left 1mm more space for winding which lead even better torque and lower current.
Also, the design of top of silicon steel lamination is curve rather than flat. It will help to turn more smoothly than usual flat design stator.

2. Rotor :
The heat sink hole is specially design with edge of 20 degree slope which enhance the flow of cool air and help reduce the temperature during operation.

We have preinstalled the “Rounded Magnet” Such magnet is N48/ Nd-Fe-B material. The heat resistance is about 150 degree Celsius. The high quality material of magnet has further improve the speed of turning and torque.

4. Wire:
The wire is EWI which is low electric resistance. Also, the heat resistance is 180 degree Celsius.
The diameter is 0.3mm. The length we include in DIY package is 30M which is able for winding more than 3 motors usage.

5. Bearing:
The NMB brand bearing is of toppest quality made in Japan.

Is this motor designed for direct-drive (e.g. prop mounts on the can) or is it designed for geared operation? Or both?

Hi Toshi,

The photo you saw on our first thread is suggested for Gear Drive.

Certainly, our motor could be also used for the Direct Drive.

The photo posted as following is for Direct Drive.

The way of the installation is designed for the sake of lightest weight.

That is to install the aluminum tube on the plane directly.

The installation of heat sink:

If you are using GWS gear box, and you could simply remove it and install the heat sink.

The most marvelous design of our motor is able to remain the thrustline in concert.
As a result, our Revolution DD motor is the best replacement kit for GWS gearbox.
