It's beautiful !!! I'm still on a waiting list for 2 !!! I have to find a small amp and speaker to make the'whop-whop' sound!! I'll have half my neighbors runnin' for cover !! Did you make your own vac-form machine ? I have one of your Dolphins and it really pulled down tight-- but this takes the cake ! I have a Trex set aside just for this-- the aftermarket skid set will make it hunker down just right. Kudos to you !!!

Darth---Just an idea- 42 degree gearbox- How about putting 2 ball bearings/pullys at the junction of the tail boom and the vertical fin and running the belt(longer belt) under them up to the tailrotor pully ? Also,if there is room inside the plastic tail boom, it might be possible to mount the tail rotor servo just below the tail rotor. If not, in a cutout where the tailcone meets the boom. The weight (cg)would be offset a little by losing the long pushrod, and moving the batts forward a bit. It wouldn't take much machining to make a bearing holder,it would have to join the metal boom and an extension up to the tail rotor mount. Or. I have bearings small enough that two will fit insidethe diameter of the tail boom tube using small washers as flanges so only a 42 degree junction would be needed-
Only thing I don't know is if ther will be much mechanical loss--- but with ball bearings it couldn't be too much. Like I said, just an idea. I can see it in my mind and draw it, but don't know how to do so on my laptop!!!

I do believe Hubdave had a working prototype elevated tail on the shogun/zoom and also I seen Rysiums seperate tailmotor prototype which is like the micro helis. I also seen a guy do a flex cable tail drive system. Me, Im just a body man. The mechanics isnt my cup of tea. There are those out there who have opened the door of possibilities for the upper tail rotor location.

The Huey can be had directly from me . They dont come with the clear windshields and chin bubbles they have to be painted. The clear windshields are at the moment a result from some of my misfit other clear bodies which were sacrifice to get the windshields.
At the moment I dont have seperate molds for the windshields and my supply of clear PETG is on order. I will be working on making seperate windshield molds. But at the moment the body can be made available in all styrene. if interested pm or email me.
