View Full Version : Wobbly Wheels!
Hi
New to RC Nitro cars and just bought a Power Racing Products Swift 4WD RTR
off road buggy. Three of the wheels have side play or float (bit like you
get with a full size car if the bearings are slack) one wheel of the wheels
doesn't!
Question is: Do I have one tight wheel or three loose ones??.

Try to determine where the wobble is.
If the wheels are wobbly but nothing else is then make sure the wheel nuts
are tight. Just because it is RTR does guarantee it was built perfectly.
Looking at pics of the buggy it seems to have a suspension similar to my
T-Maxx. The Pivot Balls are in cups, held there by a large screw. If the
screw is to loose the whole bearing carrier will wobble. They should allow
movement, but not be sloppy. You can check your manual to see if they have
more exact specs then that. If you remove a wheel you should see how the
balls are kept in the cups and be able to adjust the tension.
