View Full Version : HELP!!!!!! making Airtronics interface or FMS

hy guys, i need help making an interface for FMS... i tried about 3 methods and none would work... i'm using a VG6000m, so it's a 5 pin plug. have anyone here susseccfully made one... i don't care if it's serial or parallel... please if you have the time explain it to me...and can someone here tell me the exact pin for the signal(like looking AT THE PLUG)?

um... i used this( http://www.heliguy.com/nexus/fmsinterface.html ) and i was running win XP so i wasn't able to run it... it is possible that this setup will work w/ window 98?

That interface may well work with Win 98. It will probably also work with Win XP if you follow the instructions at the top of that page you posted and install PPJoy.

then which interface does not work with window XP and 2000?!?!?! i read somewhere that some kind of interface does not work with Win XP and 2000.... please help... thanks

The original serial and parallel port interfaces like the one you built will not work directly with XP and 2K, only with the earlier versions of Windows.
However the rather clever PPJoy program/driver allows even those older interfaces to work with XP/2K. At least it usually does. Some people have had problems with it and like most free software, there are no guarantees.

YES!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for all the help... after SLIPSTICK did his post i read it and went back to the http://www.heliguy.com/nexus/fmsinterface.html and reread eveything slow and then i found the problem... i have to change my bios setting!!!!! now it works great!!!! is there any chance that this will work w/ realflight G2?
