I purchased a Dynamite RC Twin Peak charger this weekend and two Team Orion
Super Duty 3000 mAh Ni-HM batteries. I hook up to the charger with both
batteries and they reach peak within 5 minutes (these are new batteries).
I was warrned by the local RC store that I would probably have to hit the
re-peak button once or twice during the initial three or four charges...
I followed his instructions and still hit peak on the batteries within 5
minutes of connecting/re-peaking.
I discharged the batteries with a 20Ohm ceramic resistor on each, recharged
them and got up to 10 minutes on the initial charge and 5 minutes after
hitting the re-peak button.
I am concerned -- will the batteries have to be used quite a bit before they
take a full charge? It was described to me that they should take
approximately 40 minutes to charge with the Twin Peak unit.
Thanks!
