Hi All,

I have a couple of the old Kalt Robin's from many years ago. They look like 'Little Nellie' from the James Bond film. I could lift them off but they rolled hard left and returned to earth! Found the problem though. The original owner had fitted long heli blades. I think the original blades should have been about 50cm each, clarke Y profile. Can anyone confirm this and/or tell me where I can get suitable replacements? I'd love to get these two back in the air.

Regards

Gary

You might do better in the fuel helicopter forum. I seem to remember that Len Sabato was once involved with Kalt. Best I can do is drop the name.

There's a review of the similar layout MicroMold Wallis here (http://www.iroquois.free-online.co.uk/wallis.htm) which goes into the flight characteristics (bear in mind that the model being reviewed has a clutch and drive arrangement unlike the Robin) and in the revisited (http://www.iroquois.free-online.co.uk/revis.htm) section near the top is a disscussion on the roll after take off phenomenon. Hope this helps. Somewhere in a box at my folks house I've got most of a battered MicroMold Wallis that I acquired about 15 years ago, one fine day I'll dig it out and rebuild it.
