Thought people might like to see my new pusher electric autogyro.

Rotor diameter is 1m (about 39 inches) and a.u.w. around 725g (25oz).

DC head and rudder control.

Kerb.

P.S. Doesn't fly of course!

That's some interesting machine work! Could you show a couple of photos of the direct control mechanism.

What does it do before it decides not to fly?

Uncontrollable roll to left on lift off. Rotor is clockwise rotation when viewed from above. It goes inverted in about half a second.

You need some kind of flapping damper, either a rubber snubber in the head or a spring wire holding the head flat. The teetering head has no natural damping and so the roll rate you are experience is just its natural response to some kind of minor trim setting. You have to damp this rotor to slow that rate down to something you can fly.
Beautiful machine work BTW.

I did wonder about that. Although I had kind of resigned myself to converting to a flapping head - and probably three blades rather than two. At least I'll be able to resuse the DC gimbal etc.

Beautiful machine work BTW.

Thank you.

Ahhh, use to be one of my favorite manoeuvres!

Perhaps a square piece of rubber in the slot under the head to take up the slack?

Very nice work.
