First of all let me explain that i have NO experience with anything R/C related so i am starting from scratch here. Little bit about me. I use to be a bodybuilder until an accident left me unable to walk if i do walk its only short distances. I saw the BR and i was instantly in love.

Now i know they have problems and all that, hell look what they cost. Pretty damn cheap i would say. I dont care if i have to build this thing from the ground up. I only wish that i would have taken it back for an exchange of the newer one before i started with fixing the routers. Now its done so i have to live with what i have. This is where i need some help. I live in Canada Nova Scotia. My BR never seemed to work right from the start. Fine taking off. Then went either into a swaying motion or just kept spinning. I did adjust the trimm but didnt seem to help the performance of the flight.
Now i really really really want my BR to work. Even thought about just trying to find the money to get another (newest model) Write off the old one as a learning experience. I just want to enjoy sitting and flying one of these. All my life this is all i wanted. NOW, where do i start in getting this thing to work. I find i am spending all my time thinking about how to fix it, how to fly it and anything i can afford to pay to make this happen. Credit card not a good idea, after the accident i had to go bankrupt so i will find other means. Please offer me something, some sort of info on where i can start, what i can do. I would have loved to have been able to send it back but i am willing to deal with what i have and live with it. Just need a bit of help getting there.

Oh and btw since i had fixedok it didnt fix, back to the drawing board :( the BR, the 2 routers seem to end up touching each other causing instant crash, is this a balance issue?

Take a look at this page from the 2. almost 1000 post long Bladerunner thread
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=294497&page=45&pp=15
If you repair or build anything yourself you need the rotors to tilt up and down very freely. If you push down on the ring and releases it, it should swing up and down 2-3 times before it stops. If the rotors are not completely free to tilt in all directions you will experience unstable flights.

I think it is possible to buy replacement rotors from ITC ( www.interactivetoy.com ) for about 15$ + 5$ shipping.

thanks peter your right ontop of things and i respect that 110%

I think i know why some peoples roters break and others dont. Here the day that i got my BR it was in the car and waiting for me to go and get the so call surprise out of the trunk. I took and charged it and then ran it. Now i know plastic, worked with it 5+ years and i know that plastic goes very brittle when it gets cold. This could explain why some people end up with broken routers. In the future there should be more polystyren (sp) type of rubber mixed in the plastic when its make to give it more of a give to strech and not break. BTW Peter, just one more question about that replacement rotor kit? Does that include a complete set for the chopper or just one set of the blades. It looks like the complete set but i would like to know before i order. Also, do you know if they are made the same as the ones that come with the chopper or are they slightly better? Sooner or later im going to fly damit. :D

The replacement rotors are the same, but hopefully a lillte better quality control on them. They come as a complete set (upper and lower) and I think maybe with the spacers as well. By the way we call it rotors and not routers, and yes you are probably right that low temperature make them more brittle. It seems to be difficult to find a material that is stiff enough for the blades and at the same time is not brittle - I know that they try.

Bahhh too much time on the computer and no hobby thats what i blame the spelling of the rotors. This is something that i am really getting into and would like to eventually build some choppers or planes from kits. Not putting the cart before the horse. Besides what are you doing up at this time of day? Thought i was the only Forum whore on the net

Well for me it was actually early in the morning. I live in Norway, 6 hours before New York.
