I operated the BR for about 2 min out of the box. Everything worked fine and the battery power began to fade as it was supposed to. After following the recharge instuctions correctly it refused to even start. The light sequence for charging went exactly as the manual said it would. We disconnected an turned it on and nothing happens at all. The light is on the transmitter but it doesn't move at all. I tryed the recharge sequence again and again nothing. Can anybody suggest something? This was my 12 year olds Chrismas present. We have some long faces to try and fix.

Whatever you do, don't open the canopy. It can keep you from returning it. I can't see what the problem is.

Thanks Savage I'll talk to the Radio Shack I bought it from unless someone else can think of a quick fix. Merry Christmas

Sorry to hear. The only thing I can think of is that either you have not initialized the transmitter by moving the throttle stick up a bit so down again and then up to start it, or the 9 v battery is too low. The LED is supposed to stay green without blinking. If you have checked this, the only possibility I see is a broken switch in the helicopter - that I am affraid is difficult to repair.

Hi Petter
Hey same thing here. She flew the first time out of the box and then a couple of times after charging and now nothing. The red light blinks ramdomly as it says if it isn't connected properly. I thought maybe it has some oil or something on the contacts but that isn't it. I guess if its the switch it will have to go back. :(
To bad it was pretty cool while it worked.

Update!!
I also suspected the switch so I cycled it many many times as though I had nothing to lose. It still didn't work. My littlest one grabbed it dropped it and it started. I'll keep you posted on its progress. Thanks

I hade similar problems. I live in Italy and I bought it from a Canadian site.
I received the BR regularly and with my son (it's his Christmas gift) we operated the BR for about 5 min out of the box.
It worked ok, even if we had some problems with forward and reward directions but as it was writen in the instructions the battery power began to fade.
After following the recharge instructions correctly it refused to even start. Note that I bought also an Italian adapter in order tho change power from 220 volts to 6 volts...
The led didn't glow at all.
We disconnected and turned it on but withut any success. I tryed the recharge sequence again and again but nothing occurred.
My son is desperate and I'm really disappointed. Can anybody help me?
Thanks

I am sure the co will stand behind the thing. I would send it back. That's what I am doing. Of coures it's just a bit further for you and will take more time but........... If you can contact the co ask them to send another one now and charge you for it. Then when they get the other one back they can credit your account. At least your son will get it a little faster.

You've probably checked this, but do make sure that both the transmitter switch AND the Bladerunner power switch are turned OFF for charging. I've made the mistake a couple of times of putting mine on the charger with the Bladerunner switch on, it will NOT charge if the switch is on. After charging, switch both switches on, move the transmitter stick to about 1/4 throttle then move it to off to initialize, then it should be ready to fly.
If this fails, there have been reports of the charger not properly seating in the Bladerunner chargering port. Very carefully bend the wires in the charger port a little bit to the left to make contact with the charger connector better.
Note that the Bladerunner is not fully charged until the transmitter light goes out and stays out.
Good luck!

Greg57,
Check that you have the correct polarity of your local power pack. Also, the stock pack (110v) actually puts out around 9v (unregulated). See if you can get a 200/110v transformer and try using the stock charger. (That's what I use)
