Hello - my son and I unpacked his Christmas Bladerunner, fired it up and it flew beautifully! We flew it for a while with great success, then it was time to charge the battery - that's where everything has gone south.
The light on the transmitter has been somewhat erratic, most of the time blinking one sec on, three sec off, with an occasional fast blip. It did that for hours, without ever going off. I've checked the connections, wiggled the connector, with no change. Now the helicopter is completely dead - doesn't respond to control at all. I've made sure that both the helicopter and controller were off at all times when charging.
The transmitter starts blinking this way as soon as you plug in the AC adaptor, even before you connect it to the bladerunner. In fact, there's no difference in the indicator whether you're connected to the Bladerunner or not - is that normal?
Any ideas/suggestions? My son is dismayed!
Thanks!

This is a typical indication of no contact between the charger and the helicopter. If the charger doesn't "see" the battery it is blinking as you describe. If you left the helicopter "on" while atempting to charge, what you describe is exactly what will happen (no charging taking place, erratic blinking while the battery is even more discharged). But, since you tell that you made sure that it was turned off - I am not sure.
Anyway the erratic blinking is a sure indication that there is no contact either because the connector is not properly (or correct) in or the switch is on - or unfortunately the switch is broken.

Yes, erratic exactly, it states in the instrutions that random blinks of the red led in the remote control while attempting to charge means that the cable is either connected the wrong way round, (the cable should easily slip into the micro-jack on the heli) or the remote control has some fault in it. Or indeed as said before me, the switch is busted.

Yeah me too. I have the same problem but it seems to charge ok. The light blinks like it isn't connected and never changes its weard blinking. I thought maybe something was wrong. I'll try it for a while and see what happens
Well it won't charge now. I guess it will have to go back :(

I hade similar problems. I live in Italy and I bought it from a Canadian site.
I received the BR regularly and with my son (it's his Christmas gift) we operated the BR for about 5 min out of the box.
It worked ok, even if we had some problems with forward and reward directions but as it was writen in the instructions the battery power began to fade.
After following the recharge instructions correctly it refused to even start. Note that I bought also an Italian adapter in order tho change power from 220 volts to 6 volts...
The led didn't glow at all.
We disconnected and turned it on but withut any success. I tryed the recharge sequence again and again but nothing occurred.
My son is desperate and I'm really disappointed. Can anybody help me?
Thanks

This has been discussed in one of the other threads too, the charger may not be seating with the metal contacts in the Bladerunner charge port. Very carefully bend the metal prongs in the charger port slightly to the left side of the heli (use something like a tiny screwdriver), this should help the charger to make better contact.
Good luck!

I had encountered the same problem as you so here is what we done. :D
Charging – The unit did not charge, with the light on the controller flashing randomly. Solution, bend the contacts very slightly to the side, on the helicopter. This will increase the contact with the charging lead. We have had to do this a few times, but the charge time is approx 20 to 30 minutes and give good flight time e.g. 4 to 5 minutes.
