Merry christmas all!
When first out of the box, the bladerunner has a little charge for you to try it out - when we try to fly it we get a very jumpy response - push up on the throttle, and nothing will happen for twenty seconds or so, but then the heli will suddenly jump into life. Similarly, if we pull back on the throttle it takes a long time for the rotors to stop spinning. Could this be an interference problem? Could a wireless internet router be causing the problem? HELP!!

Yes this could be interference or a weak signal from the Tx. If the Tx signal is bad, the helicopter will have problems with starting up and if it looses the signal the rotors will stop but very slowly (safe mode). Check that the antenna is correct in place and extended, and that you have a fresh 9 V battery (the green led on the Tx should be on but not flashing). You can also check that the small antenna wire from the Rx in the helicopter is properly connected to the left landing gear.

I expierenced the same similar problem but figured out that the antenna "HAS" to be fully extended or the receiver will not get the signal from the transmitter..

I have the same bad experience. I ran the heli out of the box for a while and then charged it. Now the transmitter won't even come on. I experienced the same delay you talk about. I think this product is defective. What happened to quality control. I guess you get what you pay for. :(

Update! We have flight.. Sort of. As long as the antenna from the controller is practically touching the heli, we can get enough lift to take off. move away more than an inch or two, and power is lost again. I'll try checking that antenna wire in the heli body that you mentioned...
