I've been flying my first generation BR for three days now and find it more fun than trying to nail Jello to a wall!
I dumped the body, did the cat killer thing, moved the battery ahead 4mm, made the motor cans black, as I described earlier, added the top rotor spacer, tweaked all the rotor blades to 20deg. and lubed all moving parts with Lockease(R)-graphite dust suspended in some sort of super-volatile liquid. It evaporates almost the moment it hits the atmosphere, leaving a thin film of graphite. Now I am able to hover (hands off) at 6ft. elevation ( just out of reach of my 5 cats) for 10 minutes continuous, and the motors stay at body temp, (hard to tell, here in Hawaii) Once again, many thanks to everybody involved in creating this marvelous creature, and for the tips on modifying it ! Good luck to all, and to all a Good Night !
PS- my cats are the only ones that are unhappy, now that they can't pounce on it or snag it out of the air.
