Wires outside the tail boom do not necessarily mean that you have a defective Bladerunner. I have pulled a number of these helis out of stock and tested them. All fly as they should. The FIRST generation helis with exposed tail wires have been much discussed in this and other forums and I will not repeat what has already been said.
You cannot assume that you have a 1st gen BR just because the tail wires are exposed. Some of the new ones also have exposed tail wires. The new ones, even if they have exposed wires, DO fly well. Let me restate this: do not assume that you have a first generation Bladerunner just because it has exposed tail wires – chances are excellent that it is a current production version.
