I had great luck with a 5 blade head on a Champion but I'm flying a couple Shogun's almost exclusively these days. Are there any multi blade heads for the micros out there?

I have found a couple of them searching on the net but it looks like diy is the way to go.

I have been interested in doing this for some time. I contacted Microheli
and it seems that the tooling that they would need to make
might make this economically unfeasable for them. I don't know
if there is enough interest. I did have a thought today however.
Century has 3,4,5, and 6 bladed tail rotor systems that might work as a
starting point. I have not spoken to Andy @ microheli about making a
custom swash for this but it might be easier to do for them than a
complete head assy. We might be able to talk Colin into making the proper size blades for us. I need to look at the Century TR but if you remove the
pitch slider assy, add some balls for links, and get Microheli to do the swash
I think you have it. Your next problem will be setting the correct timing
(phase).
If we use wooden blades I don't think we will need to worry too much about dampening.
Keep in mind that the effeciency goes down as you add blades, as well as the touque requirement will go up.
Now if I can find a way to make a 3 bladed TR assy I can start on my 1/35 scale
MI-24D.
Let me know if this sounds crazy. It seems like someone smarter than me would have already thought this out already.

I'd be willing to pay for the parts if I can find them. I had a 60 sized Hughes 500E with a 5 blade head and it was beautiful. I flew it quite a bit too, no reason to have a heli and not fly it after all.

Could some of you guys post some pictures of any micro muliblade heads so I can get a rough idea of what to do. I have been wanting to build a micro MH-53M pavelow. I have all the materials and the plans drawn I just need to get off my butt and build the thing. :D

Thanks

Hello,

just a thought, something I might have read around here before...

Isn't maxir going to come out with a 4bladed head?
I'll try to look up the picture I saw somewhere... It had a 3 blade tail rotor I believe.
The heli isn't in production yet, but it was planned to be in the real near future

I'm also really interested in the 4/5 bladed heads as for the augusta on my shogun...
Stay tuned
