heyall!

for the purpose of long runs while practicing, i'm going to try a tethered flight, eliminating the battery and running power wires to the small board attached to the battery.

thoughts:

the weight of suspended wire should be less than the battery.

what is the max voltage i should do? 4.2?

how long can i run it non-stop?
just monitor the motors temp by feel?

waddya think?

Hmm, interesting idea. I would think any power souce that is the same output would work.

Hi,
Anything between 3.8 and 5 volt should work fine. However, the wire need to be very thin and flexible to not ruin the stability. You might also need to change to a hoter tail motor to get controlled tilting of the helicopter when you want to fly forwards.

I think youll be having some CoG problems, as you take off higher, it might start tipping due to added weight and wire dragging along the floor?

If it DOES work however, please let me know. :D
