I was given this Wanderer and I want launch it off a long bungee I got at my LHS. The plane has a 1/4"X1/2" hook block across the fuse, 1.25" in front of the CG line.

Question: Is this a good placement for a tow hook?

If the bungee you speak of is a hi-start then you would put the hook about 1/4 inch in front of the CG to start with. If you have a bungee, the 1.25 inch position should work but the Wanderer is not the greatest bungee launch candidate, can you say wing failure.

Dude you changed your name. The winds in Temecula have been blowing too much out of the north and when is out of the S or SW its's light. Thats why I getting into Bungee sailplanes and DLG. Is Santa bringing you any planes for Christmas?
After the first of the year I going to get a Slowfly electric. They make them just up the road from you.

yeah... I changed my name because I won't be flying the 5c anymore, I'm almost sure I'm getting a RTF Raider custom built by stembridge... :D and possibly a weasel pro with flash 5 radio :D and If not I asked for a spirit 2 meter rtf.. for light lift conditions.
