:D I have wanted a little electric rc heli for 22 years!
I paid $100 canadian at radio shack. I can't believe it's so cheap.

The guy who invented this Petter Muren spent years developing it, and tens of thousands of $ i'm sure.

Surprisingly it's the floppy rotor technology that keeps this thing so stable in the air. It hasn't always been this easy to fly a heli! Big thanks and congrats to Petter!

For the fellow inventors, check out www.proxflyer.com to see how this technology evolved.

My unit like others doesn't have super battery life but it's still a lot of fun, and i don't mind spending a few$ to upgrade that.

Check out the mods compilation .pdf if you haven't seen it. Great (and TESTED) mods there. Thanks to daledwardsmith@yahoo.com for the compilation!

If your bladerunner isn't working great, stick with it. You'll love it when it finally does! :D

Is it flyable by a novice? I gave up on my dragonfly because it was to hard to controll. Is this thing much easier then any regulair micro heli like the hummingbird and such?

well, basically i can sit the cat by the remote while it hovers. the point is i can make it hover, put down the remote, go push the heli any direction and it self stabilizes due to the design of the floppy rotor heads. truly amazing. be an expert in a day!

wow, really? That just defies all that is currently known of horizontal rotor RC crafts. Evolution rocks! :p

So anyone with a little knowledge, some patience and a good sence of direction can pick it up and have a ball? You dont have to go through the hell that comes with a regulair micro heli, just unpack, charge, run a couple packs to straighten its blades, and youre done?

I still cant believe its this stable. Ive seen the proxiflyers on the web, I thought it was a hoax. :D I just didnt get it, something that small that just floats around like theres an invisible pillar holding it up and straight. Simply amazing, and now theres the BR, at an equally amazing price.

Ok, thats it, im getting one for sure now. :)
If I only knew a good dealer thats got the newest models and ships to holland at a nice price..

After reading so many positive posts here, I can't resist pick one up.
I bought mine at a Toronto Radio Shack store. I checked several stores and few of them ran out of stock already. I picked up the last box at the store in Bayview Village in Toronto.

It's a black colour Blade Runner, with the tail motor wire inside the tail rod. I had my doubt about the helicopter, as it looks so flimsy; does this thing really worth $100 Canadian? I was definately surprised.
I had no heli experience, but I was able to hover it easily on the first try. Very quickly, I was trying to hover from one table to anther. It was so much fun in this cold winter time. I was able to fly it for about 4 minutes on one charge.
Few of my friends who had no R/C experience were able to hover it in no time.

I don't think other Micro heli is that easy to fly.

heheh, no heli experience and a hover in the first flight. :p Gotta admire this new technology.
