Hi All,
I guess my reply is not what everyone wanted. Maybe you wanted
a cheap way to add channels, there is, but you need advanced
electronic skills to do it. Basically you cut into the encoder pulse
train and add a simple 2-3 transistor or IC circuit which adds another
channel or more to the group. You add the user control pot and adjust
the added channel trimmer pot to give a pulse width of 1.5 ms at
neutral stick. If the circuit works correctly you get a 1.0ms to 2.0ms
range for the 270 degrees of the added user pot.
Then you need to do the same to the decoder by adding a 74LS164
or 4017 IC to the existing circuitry or slave onto the original
decoder
input and add an entirely new decoder board. This is easy with the
2 PC board receivers from Futaba. This receiver has separate RF and
decoder boards. You unsolder the decoder and add the new one. There
are only 3 connections to the decoder, plus and minus volts and
decoder
input.
With all this work required, you can easily see why I go the other
route
and buy the ready to run systems, plus theres no guarantee that the
kludged up stuff will work!!!!
Have fun,
Johnboy
