Hi
I downloaded the new FMS flight sim last night. I tried to use it with my Real Flight controller and can't get it to work. It uses the elevator stick for throttle
it will get off the ground but that is it, nothing else seems to work. Any one have any suggestions.

Did you set and calibrate your stick functions in the menu? It has to be set up to match the Futaba Real Flight controller. Channel 1 is ailerons, 2 is elevator, 3 is throttle. and 4 is rudder. You also have to click the calibrate button and follow the directions to zero the centers and the adjust the travel.
Check out the pic in this post of the screen where you make the settings:

On the default settings of 1 2 3 4 the rudder will be controlled by the aileron stick, the elevator shoud be on the correct stick but might need to be reversed, the throttle would control the ailerons and the rudder stick would be the throttle. For the G2 interface you need 4 2 1 3.

Do you have to load G2 to use the G2 controller in FMS?

It should show up in Windows Game Controllers as "I-controller". I can't say if G2 has to be installed or not.

I finally got it to work. Only the planes though, the helicopters wont work at all. I had to change the function numbers to match the sliders on the side in the calibration screen. I don't have the USB controller for G2 only the older version. That may be the problem with the heli's not working right.
Thanks for your help

I don't know if you have looked at it or not, but there is a sticky at the top of this forum which deals with controlling heli's in FMS. Maybe it could solve your problem.
I'm glad to hear you got your controller to work.
Some additional planes can be found at these sites:
