I got my BR last night, and I am not very happy, as some people might have read through my posts.

Can I return my BR to the Factory and get the NEWEST one that works?
or should I return it to the store I bought it at.

I think interactive toys should send out NEW BR to ppl who JUST bought one and got a the very first production models.

What do other people think? Does this seem like something that can be done?

I think it has been mentioned before that someone has been able to do this. You probably should try to send an email directly to Frank at ITC (Fotta) and ask him in case he is not logged onto this forum right now.

The 1st gen versions are not that bad. It sounds like you have a defective in which case we will honor the warranty.

How can U tell which version you have? I just bought one and it's wires are outside and some heat shrink? Flight times seem a little short but more than 1 min.

frank your flight times are not too bad, mine are about 10 seconds and it lands.
The first BR's made had the wires to the tail motor on the outside of the boom, and a couple other changes were made ..

you can see my other post for a list of changes

OK I just got back from an indoor flyin. We had 3 BR's all with different modes. My flight times seemed about average for the modes I had. Now I cut down the body and that helped but the guy with the after market batt was the best by far. Has anyone fabercated their own blades? I've now got one broken blade flying by being taped together and another that's held onto the ring by tape as well. Other blades are showing wear as well! Dropping another 20 bucks for new blades isn't going to get past the wife!!

It is possible to make your own blades out of thin plastic cups.
