Finally did it. Whew. Not for the easily distracted.

I landed that stupid heli on the picnic table. Took about 3 dozen tries.

This is a challenge and a half! No depth perception, then you realize how hard a steady hover is when you are by a reference point. Yeesh.

(I used the "Fun Fly" field, which has a picnic table to the right of the pits, outside the fence. Set the Motion to "Walk toward plane" and get it over close to the picnic table. About "ten feet" away. Then turn off motion. Then get the heli over there and have at it. MAN is it hard to do! Good practice I guess...)

What sim are you useing?

Sorry, can't just assume everyone has RF G2, but that's the one.

I've been able to do it twice more, with the .60 competition heli, in about 100 tries. (at 100% timebase) It's not getting any easier.

I also have FMS - interesting selection of planes. Seems easier to fly the heli on that one, but the physics are more basic.

One other thing - I've found that it's partly the sim's fault, sometimes the heli crashes through the table after it's just sitting there.
