Hopefully, someone can help me.
I have an old Tamiya Boomerang. The plastic bearings are worn out. Does
anyone know the offical size. So, I can mail order some new ones, say
from Duratrax. The Boomerang manual does not list of the size anywhere.
Thank you,

Most of them are 1150 bearings..... especially those at the knuckles. There
are also some 850 bearings internally.
Can't help you much, though I have an old Boomerang myself, without the
manual.

AFAIK Tamiya cars only use bearings in two or three sizes - if you count
how many 'large' (wheels etc) and 'small' (you'll probably find a few in
the transmission) you need, most decent R/C car shops should know what
you need.
You could try measuring them - they'll be a whole number of millimetres,
almost certainly.

....and you may replace them with real bearings - as I have done on my tamiya
boomerang as well as my hot shots

hmm, yer right - there's a nice picture though :)
I had replaced all the plastic bushings with bearings back then
just measure the shaft size and inner diameter of housing or object
shaft size will be your inner diameter and the object size will be you outer

I believe its something like
18 X 5 mm (inside diameter) X 11 mm (outside diameter) X 4 mm (width)
bearings
and
5 X 5 mm (inside diameter) X 8 mm (outside diameter) X 2.5 mm (width)
bearings
and
2 X 5 mm (inside diameter) X 11 mm (outside diameter) X 4.5 mm (width)
thrust bearings
The info was found at www.minibearings.com.au which has a pretty
comprehensive list for most brands of RC cars both new and old.
Cheers
