Hello all I am getting back into RC boats after a long time away, I have an Apache 50" hull that I am going to be putting together I am not looking for a full on race boat more along the lines of fun and a little speed, what engine and hardware would you reccomend? I would like to use teflon tubing for the stuffing box, and am trying to keep things as reliable as possible ie air cooled, stock engine, etc. Any tips??

Are you planning on gass or electric? Electric maintenance might be a little lower in the long run, batteries are pretty cheap, depending on type. I don't have any experience with teflon tubing for stuffing boxes, or glow/gas motors. Good luck and let everyone know how your project is going.

No definately gas, boat is a bit large for electric.
