Hey all,
I wish I had some pictures to share, but I have created a free-flight e-powered glider from the motor from an "e-charger" toy plane and a built-up balsa and tissue glider.
I took the plans from the "wrampager" design (www.wram.org) and took the motor and capacitor from my son's broken e-charger plane, and it flies great!
I took the plane to the field this weekend and I was consistently getting 20 - 40 second flights from a 10 second charge and a gentle hand toss. I even got one flight of almost a minute when the glider hit a thermal and went 100 yds. downwind. Very cool!
