Ok here's the deal,

I have a Kyosho Jet Stream GP 10 which I have scraped the steerable outdrive on. So what this means is I have to mount a rudder on the thing. I have a rudder from RCSpeedworld.com it is aluminum and very nice actually. Anyway I need to know the best way to figure out where to mount the rudder, also I am going to need to mount a strut on this thing, where do I mount it?!? Does it drop down flush with bottom of the hull? Or a bit lower, or a bit higher??? Help me please!!! Here are some pictures of the boat (before I ditched the steerable outdrive)

This is how the boat started life...

if your going to mount it off the back, i would think all of the rudder would be in the water, same as if you mounted it on the bottom, it all depends on the mount on the rudder, could we get a picture of this rudder your talking about?
