View Full Version : Throttle Jockey pro setup?

Hallo,
I'm not able to get my TJP into the setup mode. I tried to do it as written
in the manual. (At least as I understand it...)
- throttle chanel set to shut off motor, battery off, switch for aux in one
direction
- receiver battery on, flipping aux-switch forward-back in the first three
seconds....
.... just one very short flash of all three diodes nothing more.
Throttleservo can be run without problems, just waggling short back and
forth (1mm or so). Tried new servo, same effects....
(I don't exactly understand what the manual means: forward-back or
forward-back-forward-back in the first three seconds, but effect is the same
as descriped above.)
I even tried it with only two chanels programmed on the transmitter, all
others set to zero action.... same as above.
What did I do wrong? May there be a problem with my MPx radio? (pulsewidth
1.05-2.15ms neutral at 1.6ms)?
Any advices are welcome. Thanks in advance
Werner
PS: As always: Sorry, but I'm not a native english writer...

Hi, wich kind of radio do you have? And what switch do use to activate the
setup, the gear-switch of the idle-up swithc? If you use a JR 9X, the
Model-Avionics tells you to use the aux3 channel. My friend have a JR 9X,
and we used the aux3 channel, and we could not get it in the setup-mode no
matter how tried. (We used the idle-up swithc). Then we connected the
governor to the aux4 channel, and it worked perfectly.

Hi Bjarte,
thank you for your answer.
It's a Multiplex Radio and it can be programmed free in anyway. No
chanelbounds for anything.
As I wrote: I programmed a model with only two chanels used:
Chanel One-throttle on a slider
Chanal Two-Throttle Jockey pro aux on a three point switch
No mixing nothing between them.
Any further advices?
Thanks, Werner
PS: ...look at bottom of my first mail :-/
