If it will work on a MAC, it should work on a Linux box and there are more Linux boxes out there than MACs. It would have to use OGL. Is X-plane available for Linux?
I checked on X-Plane and it does run on Linux! All three versions come on the CD (Windows, Mac and Linux). Too bad it doesn't support helis.
