does anybody have a hex code to make a 12c509 pic into a flip flop, i am playing with a rudder only idea, i want to use a negative going square wave.
You can do what i want with a cmos 4027, but they are big, were a 12c509 would be ideal for the experiment, just need one input pin, and two output pins that flip flop.
thanks

Have you tried the PIC BASIC Forums? I subscribed faithfully to this list for a LONG time while I was playing with PIC's. I still dabble, but don't have time to pursue it full time. Here is the link to the Search function on the forums. Don't know if you have PIC BASIC or not, but it's a start....

You might just find what you're looking for without joining the group. Here is the main link to the site that builds PIC BASIC PRO.

Hi brucej, I can do the code easily but more details are needed. Exactly what do you need in the way of header code to make it work with your programmer. Hex format etc.
I use Mplab and a Picstart Plus burner and have no idea if my code would work with what you use. Do you have an assembler? That would make things easier.
Do you want it to flip when the input goes from high to low?

Hi Brucej, I recieved your PM. Looks like my Mplab files will work. Luckily I have a uv eraseable 12c509 to try the pgm out before sending you the code. If all goes well i'll send the code in a few hours.

It works. I tried to attach the files but got an error msg even after I renamed them.
Too much typing to enter by hand. May introduce errors and is too time comsuming.
let me know if you want me to email them to you.
