View Full Version : FVK white

Not sure where to post this inquiry so I thought I would start here as it directly relates to sailplanes. I own several gliders made by FVK. All have white fuselages. I'd like to touch up some scratches (air brush) and I'm wondering if anyone has found a good white paint (in the can or a paint code) that matches very close to the white. Many of my gliders also have white fuselages and the white seems exactly the same as the FVKs I have... maybe all the European manufacturers use the same paint and the same supplier... I doubt it! As many of you know that have done repairs... there are all kinds of shades of white. I'm picky and I'd really like a very close color match. I've had auto paints matched for me for larger projects but I've learned that white is very hard to match so I was wondering if anyone has discovered a white that matches very close to the FVK white? Granted as a manufacturer (FVK) changes batches of paints along the way there will be slight differences but I haven't see much of a change.

Thanks in advance for the help.
