Hitec Flash 5
On my Flash five transmitter when you switch on to dual rates on channel 2 there is a small deflection on the servo at the neutral point.
Has anyone else had this problem or any ideas on how to fix it.

Is the corresponding trim at neutral ?
This question would probably better be in the Radio Forum.

I think I have noted that with offsett trims on a 'simple' transmitter - non computerised - too..

It shouldn't matter how the trims are set, as dual rates are only supposed to affect the throw, not the neutral point. However, your elevator stick may be off center at rest, either mechanically or electrically.

Try gradually moving the stick while flicking the dual rate switch on and off. At some point you should find that operating the switch does not cause any deflection. This is the electrical neutral point of your stick! You may wish to recalibrate the stick so that its mechanical and electrical neutral coincide.

In the Flash5, there is a hidden button under the front panel, which can be pushed (while simultaneously turning the radio on) to access the factory setup menu. Unfortunately the front panel is glued on, so you might find it easier to remove the back of the radio and short out the button from the rear. I have documented the procedure on my website here (http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/bhabbott/f4mem.html) .
