I'm setting up separate aileron servos on a plane and have the option of using a 4 channel or 5 channel receiver with my Eclipse 7 transmitter. So far according to the manual it looks like I will have to you a y harness off of channel 1 since it shows channel 6 as the left aileron when using channel 1 for the right aileron. Is there any way to use channel 5 for the left aileron instead or am I stuck with the y harness to operate the separate servos?

Unfortunately no, the Eclispe requires channels 1 & 6 for Flaperon mixing and can only use 1 & 5 in Glider mode which will not give you variable throttle :(

That's what I thought...guess I'll stop at the LHS on the way home and pick up a Y harness! Any reason for no variable throttle control in Glider mode? Don't the glider guys like to vary the throttle or is it strictly motor on until you're in the clouds and then motor off?
Thanks for the fast reply!
