Hi,

I've been looking for an Aerial Photography platform, and I found one or two that I like. However, the construction seem pretty lame on most of these so I wanted to build my own. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON FOIL? Perhaps a Gottengen 378 or Selig 1223 airfoil? Could I shorten wingspan and increase chord to help with tight landings?

I need slow flying, slow landing, stable. Also, I'd like to cut the engine when I'm taking pictures and be able to glide a bit. I figure mechanical wing controls -- flaps, aileron -- for camber and crow adjustments. The camera and mount is an additional 7 ounces, plus an extra large battery is 10 add'l ounces.

So below was my first choice, figuring I'd need to have a larger plane to decrease the relevant impact on wing loading. Does that sound like the plan of action?

The Moby Dick

The Senior Kadet would be a better choice.

nice call!

plus the feedback is that the plane is tail heavy and people are adding 5+ ounces to the nose. so the heavy battery and camera in front of the c.g. will be perfect.

I like this model, despite a red color that tint all my photos, it flies nicely and can land anywhere.
A latter version, whit MH 31 airfoil is almost ready to fly.
Is new coverage will be in black or gray Oracover.
Technical data.

Wingspan -55”
Wing chord -12”
Weigh whit Aiptek and Lipoli -22oz
Airfoil , MH31-whit turbulators
Length, 42”

A very old model, but still reliable , and a good AP platform, easy to build.
