This is what happens if dad does not listen to his son (or maybe does not believe his son). He was complaining about glitches the past couple of flights, but each time i took the sticks, everything seemed to be OK. Can it be that he is a better pilot (age 12)...

It seems that some fuel might have come in contact with the receiver, or that the arial wire was open circuit half the length. Difficult to say after the crash

Wow, those don't need a bag for the pieces, do they? Looks like it hit quite hard, but stayed together.

Well, the impact was quit severe. Some of the servo leads were actually snapped at the receiver, the two battery packs came appart, and the aluminium channel (1mm U- channel) is a few mm shorter.

Normally with a crash, the undercarrage bends backward, but this time, it was actually bent forward...

We just have to build SPAD # 3.

Yes, there are no tougher slimers than SPADS. As it turns out, the guys who started the SPAD concept live up the road from me & I credit them for getting me started in RC.

I used to crash the stink out of my SPAD trainer.
