This is a 4 meter sailplane my friend has tried to fly (this was the fourth try) here is some pics and well your gonna hafto see the video to get...the rest of the story. :eek:

Lol! Great video! :D Looks like all it needed was a good kick in the head! :p Do you think that nose-first crash could've shifted the CofG slightly forward, making the subsequent flights that much more successful?

Looked good when it was up though! :cool: You can't quite grasp the scale of it from the video .... it could easily have been 2 metres and you wouldn't know it ... 4 metres is flipping big! :eek:

Turns out the with the sailplane configuration the addition of the motors at nuetral control surface throws caused it to balloon because of the positive incidence of the main wing. We scratched our heads for a awhile and decided this was the problem and that a lot of down elevator would get it to take off with out ballooning and we were right. Once in the air it flys great and lands perfectly. Thanks for the perks.

I wish I had video from our first attempt before the addition of the motors and the landing gear. We tried towing it with a pickup truck :eek:
