Does anyone have any tips on how to go about aquiring schematics for R/C radio equipment? Or is it a waste of time to even try?

even if you did find the schematics you would still be missing the code that most modern radios use.
for non computer radios your best bet is to look for Ace Silver Seven schematics. this radio also had various add on boards with things like expo and mixing. DIY kits were available so there are lots of schematics floating around out there.

Aeroflop,
Here is a link

The ACE schematic site is down, but check back later.
Now this is a good link for reference, but if you are looking exact info for to todays radios then keep looking.

yes, some of the modern no-frills radios are using microcontrollers, but i don't know which ones...
are you looking to build your own radio? if so then check out www.mstar2k.com . i wouldn't trade mine for anything else on the market
