Hirobo Jet Ranger Video

This video is of a Hirobo Jet Ranger that belongs to a friend. I was impressed by the quality of the finish on the fiberglass body and and the overall sharp appearance of this bird. It's powered by a YS-80 and is running slightly larger 700mm blades.

Jason, Nice Video....I guess you use a home-brew fuel...cause the smoke is thick......I use to fly my BELL 222 using a Hirobo SST-Eagle 1 Mechanic using a home-brew fuel.....later I found out the engine is dirty and gummy.....now I use a COOL POWER 15% nitro.....I have some video of my Bell 222, I do not know where can I uploaded it.

lazy-b, how large is it? I can host it. If you are interested, let me know and I give you info so you can FTP it to me.

I don't think the fuel is home-brew. I believe it's YS 20-20. I recently started using Cool Power 15% in my Raptor (TT.36 engine) and it hardly smokes at all. Initially it worried me that I was running to lean, but it seems that it just doen't smoke nearly as much as high nitro heli fuel.

I just notice that Whenever I use a Home-brew fuel, the smoke is really thick, cause the Castor oil never burned, unlike those fuel like COOL POWER uses a synthetic oil,less smoke, less carbon build up in engine and more power....my friend just bought a new Raptor 30 with a Thunder Tiger 39 engine.
